Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object tracking device capable of quickly and accurately tracking a target object even when change in size of the target object due to zoom processing.SOLUTION: When zoom magnification of a frame image at a present time is different from that at a preceding time, a search area setting unit 9 sets a search area for an object in the frame image at a present time on the basis of an object area in the frame image at the preceding time, center coordinates of zoom in the frame image at the preceding time, and ratio of zoom magnification of the frame image at the preceding time and that at the present time. A normalization unit 10 normalizes an image of the search area for the object, which is included in the frame image at the present time, into fixed size. A matching unit 11 searches for an object area similar to a template image from the normalized image of the search area.
