Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital channel multiplexer provided with a tandem path-through function that can conduct synchronization reset between a voice encoder and a voice decoder.
SOLUTION: The digital channel multiplexer that has a tandem path-through function that applies path-through transmission to a trunk channel relay- connected via an exchange without high efficiency voice encoding and decoding, is provided with a means that uses a specific bearer channel number or a trunk channel number in an assigned message of a bearer channel to transmit (notice) the trunk channel number in a path-through operation to another digital channel multiplexer via the bearer channel and with a means that always assigns the bearer channel to the trunk channel number in the path-through operation state received from the other digital channel multiplexer connected via the bearer channel.
