PURPOSE: To prevent an incoming call from being missed by releasing the inter- slave machine direct speech mode set by a mode setting means to restore the normal slave machine standby state at the time of detecting the end of inter- slave machine to direct speech by a speech end detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: The voice signal inputted from a transmitter 21 in a digital cordless telephone 10 is emitted to the space through a digital modulating/ demodulating circuit 26 or the like and an antenna 27. Meanwhile, the transmission signal from the station of the other party is emitted from a receiver 22 through the antenna 27 and the circuit 26 or the like. A CPU 11 controls mode switching and the state based on key operation information from a key operation part 12 and sends the display signal based on the control result to a display part 13. When the speech end signal of the other party, the channel link disconnection signal, or the speech end operation in an operation part 12 is detected by a TDMA signal processing part 25, the CPU 11 releases the inter-slave machine direct speech mode to restore the normal standby state by the normal state restoration processing. Thus, the incoming call from a master machine or a public line is prevented from being missed.
