Abstract:
To efficiently use hardware resource and perform countermeasure against soft error, in hardware arithmetic of an FIR(finite impulse response) filter.SOLUTION: A digital filter 1 stores input data 101 before filtering process or output data 108 after filtering process into a RAM 104 according to a filter select signal 128. A parity bit is appropriately added to the input data 101 or the output data 108 as required. For data retrieved from the RAM 104, parity checking based on the parity bit is performed as required, and addition processing is performed after sign inversion process is appropriately performed. The data is used as new output data 108 for loop processing of the digital filter 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
