PURPOSE: To provide the inexpensive digital filter from which a signal multiplied with an indefinite multiplier coefficient is not outputted when a content of a coefficient loader is rewritten and which does not allow a multi-screen display device to display a picture whose picture quality is deteriorated when the digital filter is applied to the multi-screen display device.
CONSTITUTION: Till the rewrite of a content in coefficient loaders 9-12 is finished, only one of four switches 13-16 is switched to fixed data 1 and the remaining three switches are switched to fixed data 0. Indefinite multiplier coefficient is not multiplied by multipliers 4-7 for this period and a signal not applied with filter processing is outputted from an adder 8.
