PURPOSE: To prevent flicker at a tuning operation time by blanking display when intermediate frequency signals do not exist.

CONSTITUTION: Signals which come from antenna 1 are mixed with signals from local oscillator 4 by mixer 3 through amplifier 2 and are applied to intermediate frequency amplifier 5 and are detected by frequency discriminator 6. Signals of intermediate frequency amplifier 5 are applied to the blanking terminal of display control circuit 8 through diode 10; and when intermediate frequency signals do not exist, display on display equipment 9 for the output of counter 7 is blanked.
