To provide a digital modulation signal evaluation apparatus capable of estimating an error rate of even a digital modulation signal whose frequency characteristic is not flat with high accuracy.
A demodulation section 30 receives digital modulation signal I(k), Q(k) being evaluation objects and demodulates all subcarriers included in the digital modulation signals. A modulation error ratio calculation section 35 calculates modulation error ratios MER(1) to MER(N) as to demodulation signal u(1) to u(N) by each subcarrier demodulated by the demodulation section 30. An error rate calculation section 36 calculates error rates BER(1) to BER(N) by each subcarrier on the basis of the modulation error ratios by each subcarrier obtained by the modulation error ratio calculation section 35. The error rate estimate section 36 estimates an error rate BER of the entire digital modulation signals being the evaluation objects by product-sum arithmetic operations applied to the error rates of all the subcarriers obtained by the error rate calculation section 36.
