Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize the area of a high-resolution memory where picture data and auxiliary data are written.
CONSTITUTION: The high-resolution memory consists of first and second memories 21 and 22, and they are alternately used in each 1H period. The first memory 21 consists of memories 21a, 22a, and 23a. The second memory 22 consists of memories 24a, 25a, and 26a. First and second memories 21 and 22 are divided into even fields E and odd fields O. Each memory, for example, 21a consists of frame memories 21b and 21e for storage of picture data and reference memories 21b, 21e, 21g, and 21e for storage of auxiliary data. Each of reference memories is divided into two.
