To conduct inspection and monitoring for a hardware forming a digital relay with optimum sensitivity to ambient temperature all the time.
The ambient temperature of a digital relay 10 is detected by a temperature detecting part 1 and discriminated by a temperature discriminating part 21. A constant suitable to the temperature characteristics of a hardware 3 to be inspected and monitored is set beforehand for each temperature at a temperature-specific inspection and monitoring sensitivity constant table 23, and a constant corresponding to discriminated temperature is selected from the temperature-specific inspection and monitoring sensitivity constant table 23 by an inspection and monitoring control part 22. As a result, the sensitivity of inspection and monitoring for respective hardware 3 to be inspected and monitored which forms the digital relay.
