PURPOSE: To obtain a digital temperature compensating oscillator capable of accurately conducting temperature compensation even when storage capacity is small without requiring much operation for the preparation of temperature compensation data.
CONSTITUTION: The small quantity of intermittent temperature data and temperature compensation data is previously stored in a storage circuit 6. A temperature detector 1 detects a peripheral temperature and a control circuit 3 reads out temperature compensation data corresponding to the detected temperature from the circuit 6. When the detected temperature is other than the temperature data stored in the circuit 6, a compensation data calculating part 7 interpolates temperature compensation data corresponding to at least two temperature data most close to an address including the detected temperature to calculate the temperature compensation data. Control voltage is prepared from the temperature compensation data, and when the control voltage is impressed to a voltage control oscillator 5, fixed oscillation frequency is outputted from the oscillator 5.
