To provide a vehicular speed display apparatus capable of preventing flicker in digital display and improving feeling of delay in vehicle speed display.

A digital vehicular speed display apparatus 1 for updating and displaying vehicle speed on the basis of vehicle speed data includes measurement means 3 for calculating a duration time of a state in which variation in vehicle speed is within a predetermined constant value and starting measurement of a duration time when the vehicle speed display is updated, determination means 4 for determining whether the duration time measured by the measurement means exceeds a reference time which is predetermined to determine whether the vehicle speed display is to be updated, and display control means 5 for controlling the vehicle speed time display on the basis of the vehicle speed data and a result of the determination by the determination means 4. As a result of the determination by the determination means 5, the display control part 5 updates the vehicle speed display at the timing when a change requiring display has been found in the vehicle speed, if the duration time exceeds the reference time, while it updates the vehicle speed display each time the reference time has elapsed if the duration time does not exceed the reference time.
