Abstract:
PURPOSE: To record data in each trick play segment so as to be optinum quantity of data which is stationarily possible to be reproduced regardless of a tracking error in the process of operating a trick playback.
CONSTITUTION: A VTR selects data to be used for the occurrence of an image at the time of operating a trick playback and records the data within a trick play tape segment arranged so as to form a high speed scanning track and multiple-speed play back track 602 and 604 on a tape 600. Each high speed scanning track is composed of trick play tape segments located obliquely for the tape length direction, and the inclination angle is the same angle as the angle where a VTR head passes on the tape 600 at the time of operating the trick play of specified scanning speed and directions. Each multiple-speed playback track is composed of plural trick play tape segments arranged in parallel to the length of tape.
