Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watermark embedding apparatus which is capable of preventing information from being lost when the watermark information consisting of two or more bits are embedded.
SOLUTION: This electronic watermark embedding apparatus comprises: a basis function waveform composite unit 32 which superimposes a plurality of basis function waveforms prepared corresponding to each bit of watermark information 31 after imparting polarity in accordance with the number of bits, in addition, normalizes it to output a composite waveform 33; a stochastic discrete unit 34 which makes the composite waveform 33 discrete and output a discrete waveform 35 in such a way as to separate an amplitude value of the composite waveform 33 into the integer part and the fractional part, and add "1" or "0" which is selected in accordance with an occurrence rate that is predesignated depending on a value of the fractional part to the integer part; and a waveform superimpose unit 36 which obtains a watermark embedded content 37 by superimposing the discrete waveform 35 onto a target content 30 in which a watermark information is to be embedded.
