Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound having insecticidal and acaricidal activities.

CONSTITUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I [R1 is a halogen, a 1-8C alkyl, a 3-6C cycloalkyl, etc.; R2 is a halogen, a 1-8C alkyl, a 2-4C alkenyl, etc.; Y is O, NR3 (R3 is H, a 1-3C alkyl, acetyl, etc.), S(O)n [(n) is 0-2], etc.; (1) is 0-5 and when Z is N, (1) is 0-4; (m) is 0-4; X is Cl or Br], e.g. 4-(4-(3- fluoro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridyloxy)phenylthio)-1-(3,3-dichloro-2-propenyloxy) benzene. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a phenol compound of formula II with a compound of formula III (L is a halogen, mesyloxy or tosyloxy).
