Abstract:

To provide a -diketone rare earth metal complex having improved light-emitting performance (emission intensity, emission efficiency, emission luminance, etc.), ink solubility, and mechanical and chemical durability (ink fastness, light resistance, etc.), to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide an aqueous ink composition of high water content, slight in burden on human health and the environment, etc., and in risk of inflammability and ignitability.

The method for producing the -diketone rare earth metal complex comprises the step of hydrolyzing a compound of formula (1) (wherein, R is an optionally fluorinated saturated hydrocarbon group) and the step of reacting the above-hydrolyzed compound with a rare earth metal halide.
