To provide a DIP switch setting reader capable of easily reading setting of a DIP switch from outside without inputting a power source of an object substrate mounting the DIP switch.
A sliding pin 10 advancing and retreating in a direction crossing a sliding direction of the DIP switch 2, a pair of contacts for signal reading 103, 104 to be a closed state or an open state in accordance with an advancing and retreating operation of the sliding pin 10, and a reading circuit (a micro computer) 303 for electrically reading a closed state or an open state of contacts for signal reading are mounted on a reading substrate 411. And also, the reading substrate 411 is pressed to a reading object substrate 401 with the DIP switch 2 mounted, and a setting state of the DIP switch is read out as the sliding pin 10 advances and retreats in accordance with the setting state of the DIP switch.
