Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A diphenyl thioether compound shown by formula I (R1 is lower alkyl or lower alkoxy).
EXAMPLE: 3-Methoxy-4-phenylthiobenzaldehyde.
USE: Useful as an synthetic intermediate for hydrazotriazine useful as an agent for alleviating gout.
PREPARATION: A benzaldehyde derivative shown by formula 2 (R2 is lower alkyl or phenyl which may contain lower alkyl as a substituent group) is reacted with preferably about 1W3mols. based on 1mol. benzaldehyde derivative, preferably thiophenol in an inert solvent such as N,N-dimethylformamide at 100W200°C, preferably 130W160°C further preferably in a gas current of an inert gas such as nitrogen gas to give a compound shown by formula I.
