A set of (4n+2) (where n is a natural number) electrical conductors 33 per slot 35 are installed on a stator core 32. The stator core is provided with first coil end groups 31a, which are formed on one end face of the stator core 32 in the axial direction and are formed, by placing the connecting portions between the electrical conductors 33 in piles; and second coil end groups 32b which are formed on the other end face of the stator core 32 in the axial direction, include lap windings and wave windings, and are formed by connecting together the electrical conductors 33, so that (4n+2) turns of stator winding per slot 35 are formed. Thus, the lap windings and the wave windings are mixed with each other. As a result, a certain number of turns for the winding of an alternating-current generator 1 for vehicle is ensured, and further, interference between the electrical conductors 33 in the coil end groups 31a and 32b is prevented.
