Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct current power outlet of a small size having a good arc extinguishing effect as improvement of the conventional technique involving such a problem as arc generation when a plug is to be inserted or drawn out in the condition that the supply voltage becomes high to result in a degradation of the contacts of the outlet, one of the countermeasures thereto being mounting any arc extinguishing material in the plug which should however require enlargement of the plug size.
SOLUTION: A third contact 16 is provided in a position which is located nearer the innermost than a first contact 14 connected with the positive electrode side in direct current power supply of the outlet 1 and where the first terminal 21 of the plug touches, while a second contact 15 of the outlet is connected with the negative electrode side of the DC power supply through a MOSFET 11, and the potential due to a divided voltage resistance connected between the third contact 16 and the negative electrode side potential is impressed on a gate electrode so that the MOSFET is controlled.
