PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a D/A converter for output voltage adjustment by detecting the difference between a DC voltage to be applied to an IC to be tested and a specific standard voltage corresponding to the voltage, generating and storing correcting data based upon the difference in advance.
CONSTITUTION: A D/A converter 12 generates an output voltage V0 according to digital data supplied from a control part 27. The voltage V0 is made into a DC output voltage Vop through an amplifier 25 and a current detecting circuit 26 and applied to the IC to be tested. Prior to a test, a corrector 30 detects the difference Vde between the voltage Vop and the specific standard voltage to be applied to the IC and the difference is A/D-converted 35 and stored on a memory 15 through a switch circuit 14. When the test is conducted, the correction data is read out of the memory 15 through the circuit 14 according to the digital data and D/A-converted 13 into a correcting voltage Vh, which is inputted to the amplifier 25 additively together with the voltage V0. Thus, while the voltage Vop which is corrected into the specific DC voltage to be applied to the IC is applied to the power input pin of the IC, the power consumption is measured.
