PURPOSE: To provide the direct positive silver halide color photographic sensitive material capable of forming a yellow image small in secondary absorption in a color development dyestuff, good in hue, and high in color development density and low in minimum density, and suitable for forming the color proof.
CONSTITUTION: This direct positive color photographic sensitive material has blue-, green-, and red-sensitive layers each containing nonprefogged internal latent image type silver halide grains and color image-forming couplers on a support, and the yellow image-forming coupler of the blue-sensitive layer is represented by formula I in which A is an aromatic, tertiaty alkyl, cycloalkyl, bicycloalkyl, amino, anilino, or heterocyclic group; B is an aromatic or heterocyclic group; Z is H or a releasable group and at least one of the groups of A, B, and Z has a partial structure represented by formula II. The color image- forming method is characterized by processing this direct positive color photographic sensitive material by using a specified developing agent.
