Title:
DIRECT RECORDING METHOD BY LASER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55117687
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To fuse a recorded picture onto an ordinary paper directly through selective heating and melting of ink with low energy by sticking an ink film fast to recording paper and simultaneously irradiating laser rays corresponding to a recording signal.

CONSTITUTION: An ink film 8 formed by coating a solid ink layer 8B on a thin- film base 8A permeative for laser rays is fed, together with recording paper 9, from a feeding device 7 to a recording part by a paper-feeding roll 4. While the ink film 8 and the recording paper 9 are stuck fast to each other by a pressure roll 3, the laser rays which are controlled on their deflection quantity, diameter of beam, quantity of light, irradiation time etc. by a laser-beam controlling device 2 corresponding to a recording signal are irradiated on them, which applies selective heating and melting to the ink in the solid-ink layer 8B so as to stick a recorded picture to the recording paper 9. In addition, preliminary heating by a preliminary heater 5 can reduce the quantity of laser rays and secure high-speed and stable recording.
