Abstract:

To safely reproduce the unwanted formed part of a magnesium alloy formed body into a forming material with reduced energy in a direct recycling method for a magnesium alloy, and to realize a low cost electronic component casing.

In the direct recycling method for a magnesium alloy comprises: a stage (1) where the unwanted formed part generated on forming a magnesium alloy is treated with a chemical; a stage (2) where cleaning and drying are thereafter applied to the unwanted formed part, and next, the unwanted formed part is charged to a bite cutting machine; and a stage (3) where, after biting into chip sizes, the bitten magnesium alloy chips are sized in grains, and small cut grains are settled into an aqueous solution, and further, the chips of prescribed sizes are recovered as a forming material.
