Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simply change the direction of a seat back and to optionally adjust the inclination angle of a seat back through a simple manipulation.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of left and right seat support members 13, 13 arranged on opposite sides of a seat cushion, for swingably supporting a seat back are journalled respectively thereto with the lower end parts of a pair of swingable arms 14, 15 which are also journalled at their upper end parts to a shaft part 40 provided at the lower and of the seat back. Further, an inter-shaft part distance adjusting mechanism 50 adjusts the distance between the shaft parts 40 at either one of the upper and lower end parts of the swingable arms. The inclination angle of the seat back can be optionally changed with respect to the seat cushion by the adjustment of the adjusting mechanism 50 to the inter- shaft part distance.
