Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an article or its content from being damaged even when the article is conveyed at a high speed during its direction change.
SOLUTION: This direction changing device 11 is provided with two lines of conveyance conveyors arranged in parallel so that a box 9 can be mounted astride them. Each conveyance conveyor is arranged with individually speed- controllable multiple (five) conveyors 42 in tandem in the conveying direction, and the conveyance path is divided into five in the conveying direction by five conveyor lines 54-58 each formed with a pair of conveyors 42 in the width direction. The right and left conveyors 42 are normally driven at the same standard speed V. When a box 9a to be changed in direction is carried in, the right and left conveyors 42 mounted with the box 9a among the conveyor lines 54-58 are driven at the speed of V-α and the speed of V+α with a speed difference.
