The direction changing device includes: a plurality of rollers 3 abutting on the lower surface of an object to be conveyed; a drive motor 7 rotating these rollers 3; and a turning mechanism 4 for simultaneously turning each of the rotating shafts of the rollers 3 around a vertical shaft. The conveyor device conveys the object to be conveyed in an approximately U-shaped conveying direction in a plane view by combining the direction changing device with a conveyor linearly conveying the object to be conveyed.
