Abstract:

To provide a directional coupler for reducing loss in a transmission signal.

The directional coupler includes: input/output terminals 101 to 104; a phase shifting means 105 connected between the input/output terminal 101 and the input/output terminal 102 to shift the phase of an applied signal by 90 and output the phase-shifted signal; a phase shifting means 106 connected between the input/output terminal 103 and the input/output terminal 104 to shift the phase of an applied signal by 90 and output the phase-shifted signal; an amplifier 107 with high input/output impedance, wherein the input is connected to the input/output terminal 103 and the output is connected to the input/output terminal 101; and an amplifier 108 with high input/output impedance, wherein the input is connected to the input/output terminal 104 and the output is connected to the input/output terminal 102.
