Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent dew condensation almost without damaging heating efficiency and the development of rust by operating with higher air ratio than that of the stationary operating time at the initial stage of temp. raising in a heating furnace and keeping the dew point in the furnace to low.
SOLUTION: A material 5 to be treated is charged into the furnace 1 through a door 6, and the burnt exhaust gas from plural burners 2 at the outside of a parting plate 4 arranged to avoid direct injection, is circulated with a fan 3 for stirring to execute heating treatment. In the directly firing batch type metal heating furnace, the fuel supplying quantity to the burner 2 is reduced or the air quantity is increased at the initial stage of the temp. raising to operate the furnace at higher air ratio than that at the stationary operating time. By this operation, the dew point in the furnace is kept to low and the dew condensation on the material to be treated at the low temp. is prevented or the revaporization of dew condensing water is promoted. Then, after the furnace temp. reaches a fixed value or higher, the operation in the ordinary air ratio is executed.
