To provide a method for easily separating a PDP from a chassis without causing breakage and crack in the PDP.
The disassembling method of a plasma display device including a display unit of which the PDP 12 and chassis 16 are stuck to each other via a sheet 17 includes: a process for heating the display unit; a process for setting the heated display unit so that the surface of the PDP 12 is in interfacial contact with metallic fiber of a unit supporting means 28 with a slope 28a where the metallic fiber (metallic sheet 29) is formed; a process for holding an upper end part of the PDP 12 on the unit supporting means 28; and a process for separating the PDP 12 from the chassis 16 by applying force to the chassis 16 so that the upper end part of the chassis 16 is separated from the PDP 12.
