To provide a disassembling type outer box capable of keeping a requisite and sufficient strength for protecting a commodity stored in the box and further capable of being disassembled and developed in a flat state.
A disassembling type outer box 10 is made such that a pair of symmetrical first slit 20 and second slit 21 are formed at a front surface wall 12 of four side walls 12 to 15, a flap portion 42 defined by the first slit 20 and a flap portion 43 defined by the second slit 21 are entirely formed into a tongue-like member having such a size as one where thumbs 40, 41 can be engaged with them. Extremity ends of each of the flap portions are oppositely faced against to each other. Portions near the roots of each of the flap portions are arranged at positions where they are slightly spaced apart from the right and left sides 12a, 12b of the front surface wall 12 and linear slits of perforations 22, 23 are formed at the right and left sides 12a, 12b of the front surface wall 12.
