To provide a disaster-prevention roof tile which can utilize press forming of a crown tile body without the need for particular postforming etc., and which enables tile-roofing application itself to be performed as ever, and which is excellent in earthquake resistance and wind resistance.
In the crown tile 2 for being serially laid on the uppermost section of a ridge, one end is equipped with a cord portion 3 which is formed in such a shape as to swell in the state of covering the whole end, and which is provided with a notched portion 31 on its downside; and the other end portion serves as an insertion portion 4 for being inserted into a portion corresponding to the notched portion 31 of the cord portion 3 of the adjacent crown tile in the laying of the tile. In the laying of the tile, the notched portion 31 of the cord portion 3 of one tile is arranged in the state of being superposed on the insertion portion 4 of the adjacent tile; a recessed groove 32 for being engaged with a protrusive streak 41 provided in the insertion portion 4 of the adjacent crown tile in the laying of the tile is formed in the notched portion 31; and the protrusive streak 41 is formed in the insertion portion 4.
