Abstract:
To reduce a possibility that a brake pad which is relatively rotatably supported to a caliper is left while contacting with a disc rotor when a drive force of an actuator is extinguished.SOLUTION: A disc brake device for a vehicle comprises: a first brake pad 42 which is relatively rotatably supported to a caliper 30 via a support member 41; and an actuator for making the first brake pad contact with a disc rotor by moving the caliper which is located at an initial position to an operation position by a reaction force received from the disc rotor via a second brake pad when a drive force for moving the second brake pad so as to contact with the disc rotor 16 is generated. The support member comprises a pressed protrusion 41a, and the caliper comprises a contact-state release protrusion 32a for moving the first brake pad to a direction in which the first brake pad separates from the disc rotor by contacting with the pressed protrusion from the disc rotor side when the caliper located at the operation position is moved to the initial position due to the extinguishment of the drive force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
