Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable to cool effectively a pressure-welding surface between a brake pad and a disk brake, by forming a hollow part on the opposite surface of the brake pad in a piston body and a convex part entering into the hollow part is formed on an external wall of a calipers. CONSTITUTION:A piston body 19 is accommodated into a cylinder chamber 18 under a posture wherein a flat piston head surface 23 is faced to a brake pad 15 side. Then an opening part on the opposite side of a piston body 19 is made to front upon the base of the cylinder chamber 18, that is, outside walls 24 on both sides of a calipers 13. In other words, a hollow part 25 denting toward a pressure-welding surface side between a brake pad 15 and a brake disc 11 is formed on the other side surface of the brake pad 15 of the piston body 19. Then a circular convex part 26 entering into the hollow part 25 coaxially is formed on an external wall 24 of the calipers 13. With this construction, as the base of the convex part 26 becomes close to the pressure-welding surface between the brake pad 15 and the brake disc 11, the pressure-welding surface can be cooled effectively.
