PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc cable capable of preventing occurrence of small pieces of a metal wire material due to abrasion and damage of the metal wire and preventing the admixture of the small pieces into a feed. SOLUTION: The surface of the metal wire 4 is provided with a coating layer 5 composed of a synthetic resin and channel-shaped parts 6 which does not form the coating layer 5 partially and in which the surface of the metal wire 4 is exposed are formed at fixed intervals in the length direction of the cable 2. Then discs 3 made of a synthetic resin are formed, when the synthetic resin is flown into the channel-shaped parts 6 and the discs 3 are provided with projection parts 8 and fixed to the cable 2 to produce a disc cable 1 equipped with the discs 3 at fixed intervals of the cable 2.
