Title:
DISC CHUCKING MECHANISM AND DISC HANDLING ROBOT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008183681
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a disc chucking mechanism capable of efficiently handing over a plurality of chucked discs one by one, and improving the troughput of disc inspection processing, and also to provide a disc handling robot.

In the case where the disc is chucked at two points on the inner periphery and the outer periphery of the disc 1 having an opening at its center, the disc chuck mechanism is provided with a plurality of trough grooves at predetermined intervals corresponding to the inner periphery of the disc in one of chuck members (fingers). On the other chuck members (the fingers), in regard to the chuck member (the finger), a trough groove is formed to have an inclination (for instance, a tep-like lead-in step)separating farther toward a depth side. By opening/closing the chuck members (the approach and separation of the members), the inner periphery and the outer periphery of only first disc of the plurality of the discs is chucked.
