The disc device for selectively mounting an MD or CD and rotating it to record and/or reproduce information has a turn table 1 comprising a disc 1a having an outer diameter capable of mounting a CD, a tapered circular column 4 disposed concentrically with the center of the disc 1a with a root portion 4d having a slightly smaller outer diameter than the center hole of the CD at the disc 1a, a head top 4a with a contact surface 4b which is disposed concentrically with the top end of the column 4 and fitted into the center hole of an MD and receives the opening peripheral edge of the center hole to hold the MD, and a magnet 5 disposed at the head top 4a for attracting a ferrous material-made hub of the MD.
