Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a roaring noise from being generated around a front axle, when a disc brake is put on, by forming stepped parts at the ends of the friction surface of a disc pad. CONSTITUTION:A disc pad 1 of a front disc brake is formed as solidifying asbestos, steel fibers, inorganic powder, organic powder, graphite, metallic powder and so on, in a resin binder, and a back plate 2 formed of a steel plate, is made to adhere to said disc pad 1. Then, stepped parts 3 whose size is 0.5-5mm in depth and 5-30mm in width, are formed at both ends of the disc pad 1. Accordingly, it is prevented that a roaring noise is generated, as surface pressure is equalized and there is no part which may be rolled in.
