Abstract:

To stabilize the braking characteristics of a disc brake by weakening attacking property of a mate as an advantage possessed by an aluminum composite material is effectively utilized.

A slide plate 2 situated at a contact part with at least a brake pad is formed of a porous base substance 5 formed that silicon carbide particles 9 and vacancies 6 are dispersed in a substrate 8 of an aluminum alloy. The vacancies 6 exposed to a contact surface with the brake pad is filled with a layer 7 of molybdenum disulfide. Attacking property of a mate is weakened by the molybdenum disulfide layer 7, an abrasion amount of the brake pad is decreased, and a friction force with the brake pad is stabilized.
