Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc-type steam trap capable of preventing oscillation of a valve disc in carrying.SOLUTION: A valve disc 11 is disposed in a pressure changing chamber 4 formed of inner and outer ring valve seats 6, 7 and a cover member 5. A bimetal ring 13 is disposed between the inner and outer ring valve seats 6, 7 and the valve disc 11. The bimetal ring 13 is projected higher than valve seat surfaces to lift the valve disc 11 to be separated from the inner and outer ring valve seats 6, 7 to open a valve at a low temperature, and the bimetal ring 13 is positioned lower than the valve seat surfaces so as not to interfere with the valve disc 11 at a high temperature. The bimetal ring 13 presses the valve disc 11 to the cover member 5 to hold the valve disc 11 with the cover member 5 at the low temperature. Thus oscillation of the valve disc 11 in carrying at the low temperature can be prevented, and the valve disc 11, the bimetal ring 13 and the inner and outer ring valve seats 6, 7 are prevented from being deformed and damaged.
