Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electrode forming cost of a discharge cell for ozone generator and to increase the reliability by preventing the occurrence of abnormal discharge.
SOLUTION: A dielectric unit 30 is arranged between a pair of 1st electrodes 10 each also serving as a cooler to form discharge gaps 50 on both surface sides. The dielectric unit 30 has a sandwich structure formed by inserting a stainless steel sheet having ≤200 μm thickness between two sheets of glass plates 31 as the dielectric. Each area of the glass plates 31 is made wider than that of a 2nd electrode 32 and the edge part is protruded to the outside from the edge part of the 2nd electrode 32 in the almost whole periphery of each glass plate 31.
