The discharge cock is composed of a cock body 12 of cylindrical shape, a valve element 17 arranged inside the cock body 12 for opening and closing a discharge part 12e, a compression coil spring 15 to energize the valve element 17 for closing the discharge part 12e, and an operation part 14 for operating the valve element 17 from outside the cock body 12, wherein the discharge part 12e is released through such operations that the operation part 14 is rotated relative to the cock body 12 against the energizing force of the coil spring 15 and then moved in the axial direction relative to the cock body 12 against the energizing force of the coil spring 15.
