Abstract:

To provide a method for easily crushing an object to be crushed by surely forming cracks with large crevices continuously extending in a specific direction, in the object to be crushed such as foundation concrete of a building by electric discharge.

A plurality of electrode insertion holes 1 are bored in the object 10 to be crushed, and coaxial electrodes arranged through insulators are inserted in the electrode insertion holes 11 and discharged to crush the object 10 to be crushed by shock waves by the discharge. At this time, the plurality of electrode insertion holes 11 are arranged in a straight line, and a shallow groove 12 connecting the openings of the electrode insertion holes 11 and having a depth not more than 1/3 of the depth of the electrode insertion holes 11 are formed to induce cracks along the shallow groove 12 to thereby crush the object 10 to be crushed.
