To provide a discharge lamp device having satisfactory productivity that can easily position the discharge lamp at the insertion of it in the holder cap and apply an adhesive all over to the outer circumference of the end of the discharge lamp, so as to firmly mount a holder cap to a discharge lamp.
The first invention for this patent application has formed on it a holder cap for receiving the end of the straight tubular discharge lamp with a cylinder section formed with an opening at its front and the rear face section with an injection hole to inject the adhesive bored behind it, the discharge lamp is inserted in the cylinder section and the adhesive is filled in, and a projection to part the outer end of the discharge lame and the inner face of the rear face section is formed in the inner face of the rear face section of the holder cap. The second invention of this patent application is provided with the holder cap for receiving the end of the straight tubular discharge lamp has a cylinder section formed with an opening at its front, the discharge lamp is inserted in the cylinder section and the adhesive is filled in, and a projection is formed in the inner face of the cylinder section of the holder cap in the circumferential direction of the discharge lamp.
