Title:
DISCHARGE LAMP ELECTRODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06302298
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a ceramic cathode discharge lamp small in tube diameter, and thereby make a service device thin in thickness by interposing a mercury getter between an electrode cylinder and the lead section of a lead wire while being adjacent to the electrode cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: A mercury getter 6 is interposed between an electrode cylinder 5 and the lead section of a lead wire 4 while being adjacent to the electrode cylinder 5, and a winding section 8 by the lead wire 4 is formed around both the mercury getter 6 and the electrode cylinder 5. This constitution thereby enables the electrode cylinder 5 and the mercury getter 8 to be disposed in series, and a tube slender in diameter can thereby be used as a glass tube container 3 for a ceramic cathode fluorescent discharge lamp, so that a liquid crystal display means employing a discharge lamp 2 can be made thin in thickness.
