Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize a discharge lamp which can suppress change of an emission spectral characteristic with the elapse of time by markedly reforming a lumen maintenance factor.
CONSTITUTION: In this constitution, a W electrode bar 6 of two pairs of opposed discharge electrodes 2 is coated to be covered to an electrode point end part with protecting sleeves 3 formed of a glass fine tube. In this way, W is scattered in the past to a luminous bulb tube internal wall surface, but to make a considerable amount adhere to the protecting sleeve 3 of covering the electrode, consequently to suppress adhesion of W to the luminous bulb tube internal wall surface.
