Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect a lamp emissionless and reduce circuit stress in dimmer control, by placing a heating component near a current limiting element which limits the output current of an inverter circuit, and inserting a temperature detecting element between the current limiting element and the heating component.
SOLUTION: A temperature detecting element TP is inserted between a ballast choke L1 and a balancer T1, and is mounted close to the ballast choke L1 and the balancer T1. When either discharge lamp La1 or discharge lamp La2 becomes emissionless, a emissionless detecting circuit acts and performs control such as oscillation stop of a switching element Q2 or blocking oscillation. When output of the discharge lamps La1, La2 decreases receiving a light adjusting signal 2, the decreasing provides stress gradually for the ballast choke L1 and the balancer T1, and raises the temperature of them. The temperature detecting element TP breaks passage of a no-load detecting circuit, and stops oscillation of the inverter circuit.
