Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp assembly which may reduce noise at wireless frequencies generated in the discharge lamp, by providing a lamp envelope of the discharging lamp for a light transmitted conductive coating connected to a reference potential. SOLUTION: In a lamp assembly, a discharging lamp 12 comprises an elongated lamp envelope 22. Opposing ends of the lamp envelope 22 encloses electrodes 24, 26. The discharging lamp 12 includes a filling to aid lighting discharge. The lamp envelope 22 is coated by a light transmittal conductive coating 40, shielding noises at wireless frequencies. This conductive coating 40 is electrically connected to a reference potential such as a ground so as to sufficiently reduce the wireless frequency noises generated in the discharging lamp. Also a low impedance conductor is electrically contacted to the conductive coating 40 along with the lamp length or a part.
