PURPOSE: To improve discharge efficiency by reducing the contact width of the oil-film seal of the contact surface between the valve and the valve seat of a discharge valve for a compressor incorporated into refrigeration cycle, thus preventing the delayed opening of the discharge valve.
CONSTITUTION: A valve seat 22 having a nearly circular form is installed onto the peripheral edge part on the discharge side of a discharge port 1, and a convex part is formed onto a valve 18a arranged between a discharge valve press 19, in order to prevent the contact width of the oil-film seal in the vicinity of the top part of the valve seat 22 from increasing, and the valve 18a is brought into contact outside the top part of the valve seat 2. While, the contact inside the top part of the valve seat 22 is permitted by forming a concaved part onto a valve 18c.
