PURPOSE: To reduce the width of a bucket conveyor type classifier by providing a saucer of the classifier for receiving fruit or vegetables thereon with two pins and connecting rods such that the saucer may be caused to be inclined moderately to discharge articles therefrom.

CONSTITUTION: A bucket 1 includes a saucer 2 and a saucer supporting table 3 and is assembled to a stay 5 attached to a chain 4 to thus constitute a bucket conveyor. Pins 6 are mounted on a lower part of the saucer 2 and are fitted into pin receiving portions 7 of the supporting table 3. Sliders 8 are mounted within the supporting table 3 for horizontal movement on a slider pin 9. The pins 6 and the sliders 8 are interconnected by respective connecting rods 12. A cam type guide 17 is provided at a discharge classifying section at a part of a traveling passage 14 of the bucket 1 such that, when a bucket which is to discharge its contents reaches there, a route change-over valve 18 closes a straight route 15 for an operating pin 13 which extends below the bucket 1 so that the operating pin 13 is guided to an inner cam face of the cam type guide 17 to cause the saucer to be inclined, thereby discharging fruit or the like therefrom.
