Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the splash or mist of ink generated with the discharge of an ink jet recording head.
CONSTITUTION: The air bubble 6 formed by the heat generated by a heater 2 at the time of the discharge of ink is allowed to communicate with the outside air in the vicinity of a discharge orifices 5 as shown by (C). In the case, the time from the formation of the air bubble to the communication with the open air is made longer the 2.L.{(Pg-Pamb)}1/2 (wherein L is the length from the heater 2 to the discharge orifice, ρ is ink density, Pg is the pressure of the air bubble 6 at the time of formation and Pamb is the pressure of the outside air).
